The Reality of Scientific Research at the University of Tripoli and Its Linkage to Economic Growth

This study aims to examine the reality of scientific research at the University of Tripoli and measure its impact on economic growth in light of available technical and material resources, proposing a framework to support Libyan economic growth. Utilizing a descriptive-analytical approach, data was gathered via a questionnaire administered to 43 faculty members. The findings indicate a statistically significant relationship between scientific research and economic growth; however, research is hindered by limited alignment with development needs due to scarce electronic resources and a lack of specialized research centers. The study recommends developing a centralized research strategy across universities, providing financial and technical support for researchers, and leveraging research outputs through entrepreneurship.
